The Bishop Johnson Okoro Foundation is an idea that was birthed by the Holy Spirit in January 2022 through Esteemed Pastor Orevaoghene Okoro who suggested the family holds a memorial thanksgiving service in Celebration of the 13th year of the passing on to glory of our beloved Father, Bishop Johnson Okoro. Then there was a creation of a family WhatApp platform with various discussions and suggestions on how to carry out the task of organizing a memorial thanksgiving service within the shortest period of about two weeks which will coincided with the 13th year anniversary of our dear father.
Finally, we were led by the Holy Spirit to organize a crusade in memory of our Founder (post humous) who believed in the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, he dedicated his life to it, preached the “WORD” till his last day on this earth. It was unanimously agreed that having a Foundation in memory of our Daddy’ legacy would be the best Celebration and gift we could ever give to him and God who has kept the family together in the last long 13yrs of the demise of our father.
God taken control of the affairs at the inaugural Crusade/Praise Night which was held on 28th January, 2022 at the Unity Bank Junction, Oleh, the Foundation was officially announced to the cheering audience who danced and gave glory to God for the life that was well spent by Late Bishop Johnson Okoro. There was no other befitting name than the one God Almighty bestowed on his servant which is now known and shall be called “BISHOP JOHNSON OKORO FOUNDATION” with the motto “…expanding the gospel to the world”
